Type 2 diabetes mellitus
When you come to us for the first time, we will take a lot of time to get to know your medical history and your needs.
We would be happy to check your blood glucose meter and your insulin pens for their functionality. If necessary, we will exchange them for new devices free of charge.
In the case of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus, you will learn all the necessary content in individual and group training, such as nutrition, drug therapy options, blood sugar measurement, and behavior in special situations.
For long-term type 2 diabetes mellitus, we also offer individual and group training. We will discuss your existing therapy scheme with you and, if necessary, we will show you other therapy options.
We support you in your efforts to reduce your weight, to do more sport and, if necessary, to quit smoking.
You should have the HbA1c value determined every 3 months. We also carry out foot examinations and urine diagnostics (urine protein differentiation) at least once a year. At least once a year we refer you to the ophthalmologist to check the fundus.
Due to the close cooperation with many different medical specialists, we can easily refer you if necessary.
