Type 1 diabetes mellitus
When you come to us for the first time, we will take our time to get to know your medical history and your needs.
We would be happy to check your glucose meter and your insulin pens for their functionality.
We carry out initial settings for newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes mellitus.
In individual and group training, you will learn all the necessary content, such as nutrition, insulin dose adjustment, blood sugar measurement, behavior in special situations, e.g. sport or illness.
For long-standing type 1 diabetes mellitus, we also offer individual and group training.
We will discuss your existing insulin regimen with you and, if necessary, we will show you other therapy options.
You should have the HbA1c value determined every 3 months. We also carry out regular foot examinations and urine diagnostics (urine protein differentiation) at least once a year. At least once a year we refer you to the ophthalmologist to check the fundus.
Due to the close cooperation with many different medical specialists, we can easily refer you if necessary.
